Leadership skills are important in the workplace, but why stop there? The REAL Leadership Lab is for local professionals who want to use their leadership skills to benefit the most important people and causes in all areas of their lives.

Using the Total Leadership Model, participants explore how their professionals goals and skills can be integrated across the four primary domains of life -  - Work, Home, Community, and Self. Through reflection, experimentation, and peer coaching, they design and test leadership behaviors that have a Relevant, Engaging, Actionable, and Lasting impact on the things and people that matter most in their lives.

Program Structure

Format:

  • Four 3-hour sessions
  • Two weekly sessions followed by two additional monthly sessions.

Between Sessions:

  • Participants conduct “REAL Leadership Experiments”
  • Optional peer coaching and journaling touchpoints

Session 1. What Matters Most

Identifying your four domains, clarify priorities, and map the people who matter most.

Session 2. Designing REAL Experiments

Creating short-term leadership experiments that generate multi-domain benefits.

Session 3. Learning from Experience

Reflecting, analyzing, and refining experiments through structured peer coaching.

Session 4. Sustaining a REAL Impact

Developing systems and habits that keep leadership integrated across life.

Deliverables:

  • Personal 4-Domain Map
  • Implementation of REAL Leadership Experiments
  • REAL Leadership Continuity Plan

Participant Outcomes:

  • Apply the Total Leadership model to achieve “4-Way Wins.”
  • Strengthen a core leadership skill through experimentation.
  • Recognize how leadership actions in one area can benefit all.
  • Leave with a clear plan to maintain a Relevant, Engaging, Actionable, and Lasting leadership practice.
