A Message From Andy Morrison, MSOM: Owner/Lead Instructor

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about REAL Custom Training. It's an honor to share this information with you.

I launched REAL Custom Training in January 2022 to help professionals in Northeastern Connecticut (and beyond) develop the leadership skills they need, yet were likely never taught in traditional education.

Our workshops help people, especially bosses, get better at working together through the development of "soft" or "people" skills like assertive communication, emotional intelligence, performance management, giving feedback, and many more (visit our catalogue to see the full menu of workshops/skills we cover).

When people develop these skills, everything improves: Their performance, their attitude, and their ability to serve their colleagues and customers. The ripple effect is tremendous and it's why dozens of local companies trust REAL Custom Training to help their people grow.

Relevant – Above all, training must be relevant to our adult learners' jobs and goals. Once we understand our learners’ unique challenges, we customize a training experience that meets their specific needs.

Engaging – Adults learn best when they are encouraged to bring their experience and knowledge to the table and apply it to an engaging learning process. Group discussions, simulations, exercises, and laughter are essential components of our lively and interactive workshops.

Actionable – Learners leave our workshops with concrete, actionable plans to utilize their newfound knowledge, skills, and abilities back in the workplace. Putting their skills to use and seeing an immediate positive impact reinforces learning and encourages further action.

Lasting – True learning results in a lasting behavioral change, which is why our programs are designed to facilitate long-term application of the workshop content. Once a workshop is finished, we use job aids, follow-up prompts and activities, and one-on-one coaching to facilitate lasting performance improvement.
